We had them at the Gathering one year and tried to weigh a heavy plane with passenger. That put the weight per wheel, over 400# and the scale complained by going blank on the reading. We then weighed it without the passenger and it worked as it should. For these particular ones, I would not count on weighing wheels that have over 400# on them.
But, I will tell you that having 2 will probably give you a more accurate reading and is certainly much easier. PS: The only reason that I am selling them is because a group of us in our chapter when it and did a group buy on some high dollar scales that can be used by all the builders at our airport. So, having access to them, allows me to spread the wealth. See N64KR at http://KRBuilder.org <http://krbuilder.org/> - Then click on the pics See you Oct. 4 and 5, 2013 - KR Gathering in Mt. Vernon, Il ? MVN Daniel R. Heath - Lexington, SC I only have one and swap it back and forth which is a pain. When I first got it I brought it to work to compare with our calibrated shipping scale and it was accurate within a pound. If I recall correctly I loaded mine up to somewhere around 475 pounds and it was still accurate.
