The end result is:
With sufficient overlap on the forward spar you will end up with two
layers on top from spar and around lead edge approx 4 inches, same on
bottom, and one layer of glass from forward spar to wing trail
edge. That gives you 4 layers of wrap on the nose, dropping to two
layers from the 4 layer nose to the spar and then one layer back to
the trail edge. Make sure to use plenty of resin to adhere the 3
layers to the bare wood forward spar and the one layer at the rear
spar. There is no reason to add additional layers of glass or adding
carbon fiber to "beef up the wing" unless you're wanting to add
weight. The plan wing is sufficiently strong as mine has 600 hours
and still attached.
