The Polliwagon stirred up a lot of interest at the time but didn't survive. Once Ken Rand & Stu Robinson paved the way with composite construction all sorts of interesting things began to happen. The VariEze came out two years after the KR and we all know what a phenomenon Rutan's designs became. And after Neibauer built his KR he took what he'd learned and came out with the beautiful Lancair series. The Polliwagen fell by the wayside along with the Prescott Pusher, Wheeler Express and many others.
