Seems that I obviously saw and fixed this issue (please, see the commit https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kopete.git&a=commit&h=0f259ada3a4646b0230d6870ff185adfcb3b1085). I just never suffered it in Kopete in KDE4 setup and thought it was due to some changes in KF5 or Qt5. Still, I think, it's easy to backport as there's just a small change (apart from whitespaces, sorry again for them in diff).
