Nevertheless, I did take a look at the Kopete codebase, have the git scratch repo setup and have created some very minor patches along the way(which I'm yet to push). My aim now would be to remove KDE3 dependencies from libkopete(I was able to start work on this, between my exams, but couldn't continue of course :\ ) and so on. There are some areas of the codebase where I'd definitely need some helping(some plugins and protocols). I'll ask around when I reach there :) All else is fine.
