Hello, first: skype.conf in /etc/dbus-1/system.d is for system dbus configuration, which is (or was) not supported yet by skype. So do not try to use system dbus - not working, use only session dbus. next, skype support dbus library version 1.0 (somewhere they wrote this info). And maybe your version is incompatible by skype. Can you test if you can talk with skypa via dbus? Try: quit all skype instances and then start only one and login. wait until skype login and you are online. $ qdbus | grep -i skype (should output name of skype interface) $ qdbus <skype interface name> /com/Skype/API and please send output of commands.
