I got replay that they incude mediastreamer support again in 0.5.3 (it was deleted in 0.5.0). Next needed patch for Kopete is flushing all printf/std::cout output, but this is not accepted yet. I tried 0.5.2 with mediastreamer and flushing patches with Kopete. All works fine without problem. But libjingle 0.5 now using buildsystem swtoolkit (based on scons) and kde is using cmake. So syncing code from libjingle svn to kopete svn needs also rewrite swtoolkit code to cmake. When 0.5.3 release I will try rewrite swtoolkit to cmake.
