There's no such firm distinction between both. It just turns out that you need someone who knows the Kopete codebase to mentor you in a Kopete GSoC project, even though you're no newcomer to Kopete yourself ;) I don't think you it is "against the rules" to find a mentor who doesn't know Kopete, but then both of you you risk getting stuck in some problem or another which a mentor who knows the project and the code base should be able to solve or get around more easily. _______________________________________________ kopete-devel mailing list kopete-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kopete-devel
