Hi! I'm new to this list, kopete as well as kde/kopete development. I've been a KDE user for long and have been following many mailing lists. Until recently I've used kmess to satisfy my needs but recently I wanted to give kopete another try again because I wanted to unite my accounts in one common interface.
There are some features I'm desperately missing and some minor annoyances. To mention some of them: 1-) polish the participants dock (show avatar, online status, ...) 2) don't grey out contacts' avatar which are online but away/busy/... as a config option (as many people seem to like the greyed out avatars) 3) 0-click reachable status line edit 4) support windows live plus color codes 5) not all skype emoticons supported? or does this depend on the theme? 6) skype avatar/status message support? (afaik not possible because of skype limitations) 7) ... Overall I want kopete to be customizable enough to make it look a bit more like kmess. That's the plan... I hope I'll be able to start, but I would prefer developing using git. Is using this tutorial http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Git/git-svn still the preferred way?
