Hey there, There's a TODO list and a list of junior jobs over TechBase [1][2], but I'm pretty sure they're not very up-to-date. Besides that, there are 3 bugs marked as Junior Jobs in Bugzilla. The complete bug list for Kopete is huge, though. If you have some specific are you'd like to improve, I suggest starting from there -- I assume you haven't been involved with KDE coding so far, so I also suggest reading the articles on TechBase, checking this mailing list and asking your questions in this ML or kde-devel.
