See http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.4_Release_Schedule#November_25th.2C_2009:_Message_Freeze.
That means you must not commit any change that touches translatable messages (those enclosed with i18n and variations on the theme) before first discussing it with the translation team. If you're unsure, submit the patches you want to backport to 4.4 to this list so we can OK them. > Sorry I am new to the KDE SVN... > > I would like to propogate at least the > > 1. Stealth Settings If you look at http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.4_Release_Schedule#November_25th.2C_2009:_Hard_Feature_Freeze, you'll see that the 4.4 branch, besides being closed for message changes, is also closed for the so-called "feature commits", which usually means you can only commit bug fixes to the existing code (ie you must not commit code that just introduces new features, or implements a wishlist item). So before backporting that list, double-check your commits to make sure they don't violate the two rules above.
