Looking at all the notifications and the Avatars some people use I was thinking maybe we want to be able to have in two places the ability to switch off notifications for a person appearing online and also the mail notifications.
Maybe we could add a check box under the account preferences to switch on or off notifications for that profile. And later look at adding the option to the contacts profile, so you maybe able to set a profile to do not notify me of this users online status change. This will also help with groups who use YM for business and have hundreds of contacts.. It must get annoying having the notifications always appearing, I have not seen the option in YM so it maybe once again a extra feature which gives our product more appeal to the rest of the world..
