Well, we don't need a protocol plugin for Kopete, because Kopete already works with our chat service as it's based on Jabber.
The idea is that we want a custom client which fits perfectly with the various services of our website (chat being only the first one). If we were to base our client on Kopete, we would probably have to start a fork and the end result would likely share little more than the roster list. In the end, it would bring us more trouble than value. Still, on areas where collaboration makes sense, we will gladly work with other projects. Greets, Arend jr.
