This happened to me as well. I am using 0.50.1 on Gentoo off of KDE 4.0.3.
It seems like it disappears when i try to remove the account. However, if I
click on "Default Identity" and then click "Modify Identity" followed by
"Cancel". The Jabber account reappears. I have been able to repeat this
multiple times..
I'm trying to connect to Gmail.
