The Bonjour Protocol (described here: http://www.xmpp.org/extensions/attic/jep-0174-0.5.html#nt-id2257435)
requires that one listens on a local socket (usually port 5298, which can be grabbed without root) Unfortunately, IPTables sometimes blocks access from external hosts connecting to that port. Does KDE have any procedure to tell the local firewall to let packets through? I know pidgin does it somehow. -- Tejas Dinkar http://gja.in _______________________________________________ kopete-devel mailing list kopete-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kopete-devel
