If you are in a 'multichat' (don't know the correct term), at least for MSN, I
don't know for other protocols because I don't use them, you see the 'real'
name of a person in the list instead of the alias when I have one set. In the
contact list it shows the alias, in the messages it shows the alias but just on
the userlist of people in the conversation it shows the real name. It's really
annoying because this list is small and aliasses would be really useful there
than anywhere else. :-)
