I'm not sure If I understand it. If you log in with another client with the
same name, than Kopete logout and crash, yes? If it's this bug than it is fixed
in Kopete that comes with KDE 3.5.3. If you can test it or provide backtrace of
that crash.
Own contact is not allowed in contact list because there are some restriction
in Kopete contact list.
