Just in case is useful for you, I started to feel pain in my wrist a few months after starting to work full time as a developer.
I did not do touchtyping and that made everything really worse. I changed my keyboard to a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000, and also a Intellimouse Explorer mouse, with a wrist pad. After a few weeks typing really alow, trying to learn to type from scratch (as the keyboard is splitted if you try to do one-finger typing you will really hurt your hands), things have gone fine, I can type reasonable fast now, and the pain went away!, as your hands are in a much more natural position (like holding a ball from the upper part with both hands), istead of a forced position. Also you could research/google/review more specialized hardware in http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/ in case you have something more serious.
