Summary: google talk dummy user interface
           Product: kopete
           Version: SVN
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kopete-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: harald.sitter kdemail net

Version: SVN (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I think it would be a good idea to add a dummy interface for configure a google
talk account. It could use the existing jabber backend, it just gets it's own
configure dialog, module icon could be the google talk logo and feature support
gets limited to features supported by google talk. So file transfer for example
would be not shown, since it's not supported as of now.

This would make it even easier for people, which don't know that google talk is
actually using Jabber as it's base, to get started with kopete and google talk.

You see, it is actually a usability improvement (especially for people
switching form windows) so the priority is not very high, and since I don't
know how much work it would be to make and maintain it I think at least a
partial implementation would be already quite a lot for poor newbies :-)
