Since both I and Phil B, the guy I am testing with, are behind restrictive NAT, it would be hard for us to experiment with direct transfer. Also, this would be quite a bit of changes and new code, so I really don't expect this feature to go into 0.12. Sorry. Even more reason to look forward to Kopete for KDE4, where hopefully this will have been added :).
