Hi all,
I have an outdated Koha installation that I am going to be working on
getting updated soon and wondering if anyone has pointers, tips, experience
with similar situations and can offer guidance? I'll be getting new
hardware and installing Debian 12 for an OS. Current Koha version is
19.11.21.001 using MySQL, Zebra indexing, and no memcached setup. With
that said, here's a few specific questions if anyone can help:
- What is the overall process to go from Koha 19.11.21.001 to 24.11? Will
I have to upgrade to any releases in between?
- Do I need to convert from MySQL to MariaDB, and if so how and where in
the process will that be done?
- Should I or do I need to convert from Zebra to ElasticSearch for
indexing? And again, if so how/where in the process will that be done?
- Should I enable Memcached? How/where/when?

I know this is kind of a large, fairly broad topic but hoping someone can
point me in the right direction and assist with either all of it, or at
least pieces of it fairly easily.

Thanks!
Steve
