I've been working a bit on those enhancements bugs, here they are :

Most of them don't have tests yet, I'm going to improve them.

I'm not sure why you are being redirected when you try to access Koha
administration > Catalog > Record sources.
Does your use case for locking records match with the use case for this

feature? It may help the developers if you could describe your
interest,
what you would like it to do.
Unless you are a Koha developer, then I don't think there is an easy
way to
use this new feature yet.
As indicated in my initial response, this is a new feature and there
are
bugs for more enhancements.
