Hi, I found a bug that would fit the problem you described:
*Bug 30376* <https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=30376> - Unable to save item if field date acquired is set mandatory It was fixed in 22.05.00 and 21.11.05.
