One thing to understand here is, while there are many linux distributions, they mostly fall into two main families: RedHat -based and Debian -based.
Koha work is mainly done in Debian -based platforms. AlmaLinux is RedHat -based. It should still be possible to make it work, but it is not going to be as easy or simple. Your best option might be a container (Docker) installation, which can help smooth over some of the dependency and platform differences. But even then I would not expect to be successful unless I really knew linux well.
