I have filed a bug because we have seen different reports on the mailing
list so far concerning removing content from additional contents:

Deleted additional_contents remain visible
Could you check if the content you are trying to remove shows in the
additional_contents table still?
select * from additional_contents;
What is your exact Koha version?
