Basic question: How do you expect Koha to know which barcode to insert for which item?

Now, the problem is, it is very tedious if I will manually edit all the items I'd saved just to put barcodes on it. Is there any functionality built-in within KOHA, that query all books with no barcodes and put barcodes automatically on it?
