Asking this question for our IT guy:
"Has any one tried to put Koha on a virtual machine like Oracle VM VirtualBox or VMWare fusion -- And run it from the desktop of a Mac? I have either a iMac or Xserve Apple Server I could use for this. It appears my server is on its way out and I need to come up with a solution for where I am going to put the next server. We need the server for our elementary school. Library days are only twice a week and all the classes can come through in a few hours. Our demands on the system are small, as Koha is only ever accessed from one computer. Has any one tried a solution like putting Koha in VMware on a Mac? Any feedback would be appreciated." Not sure if it matters for his question, but we have about 5000 items in our library.
