Having gone through this many dozens of times testing various versions and
upgrades, I have always found it easier to restore the backup of the
"virgin installation" of the MySQL dump, and if you did not back it up,
might suggest that a brand new re-install would get rid of any glitches
that you possibly may have overlooked in your various "clean ups."
