I started here in this position about 4 months ago and the Admin prior setup a Koha server for our library system. The System is running on our win 2003 server, in a Virtual box VM with Ubuntu 10.04. The only instructions that were left to me regarding this system were to boot it, and it would take care of the rest. That was the case for the final two weeks of last school year, but i haven't been able to get it to come up this year, and I am unable to see what might be causing the issue. The VM has an IP address, IT pings our Default Gateway, so I know the networking is functioning, but all I seem to get is a VM with a Koha desktop background. I cannot find any reference to a server application nor do I see any database file. I am wholly unfamiliar with the nature of the application, so I am hoping for some enlightenment on how this operates, how I can verify that the database of out Library is still in the VM machine, and where I can try and activate the server software to give access to the students. If it is feasible, I would like to backup the database, and I could re-setup the VM and import the database into the new machine. My thanks in advance, and please tell me if this is the right place to be asking these questions, I am sorry for my ignorance.
