No need for DNS. Set it correctly in /etc/hosts - your system is probably currently confused about its name and primary IP address. Alternatively, you can set the WEBSERVER_IP environment variable which will bypass trying to use gethostbyname and risking that error. Other stuff will probably break on a confused system, so it's best to fix /etc/hosts and hostname if you can.
