Yes Henri , I use accountlines to control fines in days. For us it is necessary to have this control to store a history of those fines. As I see in Biblibre develops, the system checks if a user have overdues at the same time of any circulation action. I can't know in advance if a user was penalized, and the reason of this penality. As well, the process to check if a user has or not overdues is executed through a "join" query, and in my oppinion this requires a lot of effort (more work for MySQL, especially when the user has many loans ). I am not saying that our module is worst or better, and is improvable for sure. I think our develop does more than permit or not to checkout books. Although, we are going to check the new changes of this module in your git. Paul Poulain, we have done this development a long time ago, before fine days module was published in the official git, and more developments. We are going to continue announcing and commiting our developments to our git. After this, the team in charge of selecting changes or new developments will make the decission of including them or not in the official version. What would happend if, for any reason, it were not included in official Koha ? |
