Hello List;

I am a retired person with experience in developing databases on Macintosh
computers and I have been asked to assist the librarian at a small private
school in Connecticut to upgrade the Library's tool for administering their
small library. The tool they were using was called "Winnebago" and was hosted
on an OS 8.5 Macintosh. The application can generate an export file in MARC21
format and after a lot of looking, I found Koha, which looks like an ideal
solution for them to transition to.

The school uses Macs almost exclusively and I have the option of installing on
a server running OS 10.4 server or one of several intel Macs running 10.5 or
10.6. I am fairly comfortable using the command line in Terminal or X11 and
have some knowledge of MySQL although I may be a little rusty. Is there anyone
on this list who would be willing to provide me with guidance or directions for
installing Koha. I've already confirmed my MARC records will install using the
LibLime demo site.

Thanks for any suggestions you can provide.

Joe Ellis
