I know in the master branch of git, there is a file for installing on Debian Lenny http://git.koha.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=Koha;a=blob;f=INSTALL.debian-lenny But this isn't in the 3.0.x branch. I wonder if you want to make one based on the one in master plus your blog. If we can get it in there we will beat the 3.0.2 release.
