I don't remember seeing the last post about it. My firm (TTLLP software.coop) already has a beta-quality implementation with SSL connections to DLP-RFID1 USB serial devices (connected to various Linux and Apple staff machines), supporting items checkout/checkin and tag programming (Danish model). Our libraries are still using barcodes for user cards because that's what their self-issues want. It's listed as an enhancement at http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2244 The code is called "RFIDEnabled", is mostly in our git tree at http://serene.ttllp.co.uk/~mjr/koha.git/ but underdocumented and I'd be interested in making it and your RFID reader work in the same framework.
