Hey Jesse - We should have a check for that condition and give a better error message. I opened up bug 2528 <http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2528> for that. If you have any thoughts on it, or if it's a duplicate or something, please feel free to edit the bug. I can get to it eventually if no one else beats me to it.
