Hi Katrin, I've now read the RFC, but I don't understand your comment. My point was more that the 952 duplicates a lot of fields that are in MARC holdings records. If you're saying that people would use MARC holdings records plus the item database fields that convert to the 952... that just seems weird to me. Would data be kept in both places? Just in the items/952 fields?
In a time where we're trying to move away from MARC, I find the idea of adding more MARC support interesting. That said, I think being able to import/export MARC will be vital for a very long time, and if we can make Koha look more like other ILSes that people are familiar with (like Voyager for instance) maybe that's not a bad thing.
