I tried to do that 2 days ago and... it does not work. create table test( created timestamp not null default current_timestamp, updated timestamp not null default current_timestamp on update current_timestamp ); ERROR 1293 (HY000): Incorrect table definition; there can be only one TIMESTAMP column with CURRENT_TIMESTAMP in DEFAULT or ON UPDATE clause
The solution would be to create a trigger... MySQL-- So maybe with a datetime?
