This issue was fixed for 26.11 as part of Bug 10190, which reworks overdue
triggers, but still exists in 26.05 and earlier. When the
AutoRemoveOverduesRestrictions system preference is set to remove restrictions
"if the patron has no remaining items that is cause for debarment," Koha does
not accurately consult the overdue triggers for each issuing branch in order to
determine whether or not the patron should still be debarred.
To recreate:
1 - Set syspref AutoRemoveOverduesRestrictions to "if the patron has no
remaining items that is cause for debarment"
2 - Set syspref OverdueNoticeFrom to "command-line option"
3 - Have a patron of category PT
4 - Set an overdue trigger for Centerville: delay 1, notice: ODUE, restrict:
YES, transport: print
5 - Set an overdue trigger for Fairfield: delay 1, notice: ODUE, restrict: NO,
transport: print
6 - check an item out to your patron at Fairfield with a due date of yesterday
7 - perl misc/cronjobs/overdue_notices.pl -t -v -c
8 - confirm your patron triggers a notice BUT NOT a restriction -- this
checkout is overdue but not cause for debarment
9 - check an item out to your patron at Centerville with a due date of
yesterday
10 - perl misc/cronjobs/overdue_notices.pl -t -v -c
11 - confirm your patron triggers a notice AND a restriction
12 - check in the overdue item that was checked out at Centerville
13 - confirm your patron is still debarred -- the restriction should have been
removed because the remaining overdue item is not cause for debarment
By this same logic, it seems like one should see the debarments *removed* in
error if following the same steps but checking in the Fairfield item at Step
12. I've not been able to get debarments to remove incorrectly.
