DateTime::Duration is just a hash that looks like this:

$VAR1 = bless( {
                 'seconds' => 20,
                 'minutes' => 106,
                 'end_of_month' => 'wrap',
                 'nanoseconds' => 0,
                 'days' => 8,
                 'months' => 380
               }, 'DateTime::Duration' );

You can't say with only these informations how many days it is. This is the
problem: we cannot use DateTime::Duration for telling us how many days there
are
between two dates.
I think we can use Date::Calc::Delta_Days for this (and Delta_DHMS for
hours_between).

I would be happy to propose a patch, but I've not enough time to do it right
now
and can't do it next week either. So I hope this helps.
