I have an idea about the 0 though: In current master we start with a quantity of 1 and you can save immediately, even with an empty item form. The new display after this patch requires you to click 'Add' at least once, to create your item. I know that this is one click more, but the behaviour seems consistent to me. Perhaps it could act differently, but I am not sure if this should prevent the feature from going in.
