I was unable to get any output in Koha (other than the LDR field) using the XSLT from edsd. The file from MarcEdit produces usable (bot not perfect) output. I, too, noticed a problem with utf-8 output, but hadn't tried yet to identify the source of the problem, so in a way I'm glad you're seeing the problem as well.
