Hi Franck,
you suggest using vars. Which, indeed, will permit a high level of
customization.
Should it be updated each time the user saves the document, or prints it or
anything else?

${PAGES} ( to do Page 1/8 2/8 3/8 .....)
or
${FOOTPRINT_COUNT}
${VIA_COUNT}
Good source to finding new vars : the help of a wordprocessor.
