100mil is very coarse for elements other than pins to be placed. I think there are cases where we need to change code to match KLC but I don't think this is necessarily one of them.
50mils is easy for placing pins, just have one grid dot between each pin! Plus the grid spacing is accessible with the right click menu and I often have to change it for various reasons anyway...
