If it is only about pythonw, the fix is actually very simple on Windows. I submitted a patch into the Winbuilder bug-tracker, https://github.com/nickoe/KiCad-Winbuilder/issues/28. Perhaps, the fix can be equally simple on other platforms, I have no idea how the build is performed there.
