Completely off-topic for this list, but interesting to me (and many others, I’m sure), was this: https://fosdem.org/2016/schedule/event/ghdl/ “GHDL: What’s New.” A couple of years ago, I managed to get GHDL to work on a Mac, but the project was dormant for a decade.
