Fabrizio, This depends on when wxWidgets 3.0 is released and available on most Linux distos. We are already using 2.9.3 on Windows. If this is years away then maybe it would be worth the effort. I have no idea when 3.0 is going to be released. The tricky part of pulling wxMessageBox from 2.9.3 is that you will have to figure out a way to prevent a conflict with the definition of wxMessageBox in the installed version of wxWidgets that KiCad is being built against.
