ill, regarding just waking from suspend (not the remote) if mainline kernel 3.15 works, but Utopic doesn't, you would be in one of the following situations: 1) A downstream patch would be causing the issue. 2) Your issue was fixed in mainline 3.15, and then regressed in Ubuntu at some point after that release.
Hence, could you please test the latest mainline kernel via http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.17-rc1-utopic/ and advise to the results? ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1319224 Title: [Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3] xubuntu 14.04 does not wake from suspend Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: On a new install of xubuntu 14.04, it does not wake properly from suspend.
