resume from suspend

Bug description:
Sytem will freeze, lockup and be unresponsive after resuming from suspend.
This occurs intermittently, ie;
it wont occur after every resumption.
In some cases machine can be "up" for more than 24hrs and go through several
sleep/resume cycles without crashing.
