Thanks for looking at this bug. I ran the three apt-get commands you mention. Clean no reported problem.
I then ran the commands that failed yesterday: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade Clean, no reported problem. As of today the bug is not reproducible so it can be marked solved, however that is done. BTW, did not see any trouble so I did not try the sudo gdk-pixbuf... commands again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1319210 Title: utopic update/dist upgrade says installation broken Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: (gtk-update-icon-cache-3.0:5066): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open pixbuf loader module file '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gdk- pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache': No such file or directory This likely means that your installation is broken.
