This bug is probably related to the iwlwifi kernel module, as statet above. The module should have added support for the Intel 7260 chipset since Linux 3.12. Ubuntu 14.04 uses 3.13. Has there been a regression, perhaps?
Could it be something about the new 802.11ac tech? Issues with earlier card proposes to disable N. Perhaps I should try to disable AC and just use N. Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hi, Just got myself a Sony Vaio Pro 13 and installed Ubuntu 14.04. All packages is the latest. The wifi keeps dropping. Sometimes all the time, at times after a bit longer (~10 min). Netwiork Managers Connection information doesn't tell me what module is in use, but lsmod contains iwlwifi, which should be the module that the hardware uses since Linux 3.13. A few packages ago it didn't drop, but was really, really, slow. Now it completely drops.
